Chitra Ajala

Chitra Ajala, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of lab operations and research. Chitra currently serves as the Head of Lab Operations at Cemvita Factory Inc., where they have held various roles including Laboratory Operations Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Qualitas Health as a Lab researcher. Chitra also has experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Teaching Instructor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they taught courses and designed and graded quizzes, assignments, and exams. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member at South Louisiana Community College, teaching Introduction to Biology. Chitra has also served as a Guest Lecturer at the Biomedical academy at Carencro Middle School, and worked as a Private Tutor at a Private Academy. Chitra completed their Ph.D. in 2019.

Chitra Ajala, Ph.D, obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the years 2006-2010. Chitra then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management/Marketing from the University School of Management Studies from 2008-2011. Chitra continued their educational journey by earning a Ph.D in Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during the period of 2011-2019. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in areas such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and workplace communication through platforms like LinkedIn, with completion year 2023.
