Edris Taher

Edris Taher is a seasoned professional in bioprocess engineering and operations, currently serving as the VP of Operations and Engineering at Cemvita Inc. since April 2022. Taher has previously held academic and engineering roles, including Adjunct Professor at Rice University and Vice President of Plant Operations at SolarBioTech, where expertise in bioreactor technology and bioprocess development was demonstrated. Notable experiences include managing plant operations at Upper Blackstone Water Pollution Abatement District and leading significant research and engineering projects at Columbia University and TU Delft, resulting in patents and published work. Taher holds a Doctorate in Engineering with a specialization in Bioprocess Design from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a Master’s in Biochemical Engineering and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering.
