Kevin Bauman

Kevin Bauman is the Director of Workforce Development at Cengage. Kevin has over 20 years of experience in the education and technology industries.

Bauman began their career as an analyst for the Wireless Emerging Business Unit at IBM. Kevin then transitioned to Mainspring, where they led the inside sales team. In 2000, they joined Microsoft as an account executive and business productivity advisor. Kevin left Microsoft in 2011 to join Hitachi Consulting as the Director of Business Development for their U.S. Microsoft Platform Practice.

In 2012, Bauman joined Perkins School for the Blind as the Senior Director of eLearning. Kevin left Perkins in 2013 to join the Massachusetts Department of Education's Digital Learning Advisory Council. Kevin also served as the Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances and Senior Director of Product Management at Penn Foster Education Group from 2013 to 2018.

Bauman joined goFLUENT in 2018 as Vice President. Kevin left goFLUENT in 2020 to join Cengage as Director of Workforce Development.

Kevin Bauman has a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the Boston College - Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management.

Kevin Bauman reports to Jeri Herman, Senior Vice President of Human Resources. They are on a team with Alexander Broich - President, Cengage Global Businesses & General Manager for English Language Teaching, Mark Gates - Employee Benefits Director, and Megan Howe - Associate HR Business Partner.
