Rena Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rena began their career as a Student Assistant at Cleveland State University, where they provided direction and assistance to students and visitors on campus. Rena then worked as a Sales Associate/Customer Service Representative at jcpenney, where they managed customer complaints and resolved complex issues while also ensuring security for the company by reporting theft.

Following that, Rena joined DoubleTree by Hilton as a Guest Service Agent, where they provided exceptional customer service in a fast-paced call center environment, handling reservations, inquiries, complaints, and check-in/check-out transactions. Rena then transitioned to the healthcare industry, working as an Appointment Center Specialist at Cleveland Clinic, scheduling appointments and providing customer service to patients and physicians.

Rena's next role was as an Insurance Verification Specialist at Cardinal Health, where they facilitated finance-related activities and verified insurance coverage for patients in need of durable medical equipment. Rena then joined University Hospitals as a Revenue Cycle Specialist, utilizing worklists and multiple system applications to analyze account balances, research and resolve outstanding balances, and assist in claims analysis and process improvement.

Most recently, Rena worked as a Patient Care Specialist at Yanke Bionics, where they conducted patient care coordination, including scheduling appointments, insurance verification, prior authorization, payment collection, and durable medical billing processes.

Currently, Rena is serving as a Patient Financial Service Representative at Centauri Health Solutions, Inc, where they work as an onsite patient financial advocate at the Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Campus. Rena'sresponsibilities include obtaining referrals, processing them with data entry and interview screening procedures to determine patient eligibility for financial assistance programs, and advocating for patients by applying for programs and obtaining required documentation.

Throughout their career, Rena has consistently demonstrated strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively navigate various systems and processes.

Rena Brooks obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from South University, where they studied from 2014 to 2024. Prior to this, they pursued General Education in Psychology at Cleveland State University from 2012 to 2013. Rena completed their high school education at Bedford High School, earning a High School Diploma in Preparatory studies from 2008 to 2012.
