Laura Battle, formerly McGee, has a diverse work experience in the education sector, starting as an Elementary School Teacher in various schools from 1997 to 2002. Laura then transitioned into roles such as a Per Diem Consultant at Macmillan McGraw-Hill from 2006 to 2009. Later, they worked as a Partnership Manager at Imagine Learning from 2009 to 2016, achieving Presidents Club and quota for 5 years. Laura also worked as an Education Consultant for Sanger USD from 2016 to 2017. In their most recent role, Laura served as the Regional Vice President of Sales-West at CENTEGIX from 2022, where they led sales efforts for innovative safety technology solutions.

Laura Battle, formerly McGee, received their BA in Liberal Studies from the University of LaVerne in 1997. Laura then went on to complete their Teacher Credentials at Chapman University from 1996 to 1998 in the field of Education.
