Aaron Cardwell

Aaron Cardwell is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Assistant Principal for K-8 at Center City Public Charter Schools since July 2023. Previously, Cardwell held the role of High School Assistant Principal at Democracy Prep Public Schools, managing over 600 students and 60 employees, while achieving top rankings for lesson execution and student engagement. As Assistant Principal and DEI Lead at Success Academy Charter Schools, Cardwell significantly improved academic standings, ensuring high student assessment pass rates. Cardwell also contributed to teacher development and leadership training as Manager of Learning & Development at Teach For America, and coached educators at Rocketship Public Schools in various subjects. Initial teaching experience includes roles at Prince George's County Public Schools as a Talented & Gifted Teacher and Project Coordinator. Cardwell is pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Capella University, building upon a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
