Mark Seip

Mark Seip is a seasoned professional in defense and strategic policy, currently serving as Senior Advisor to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at The Joint Staff since July 2024. Seip's expertise spans various roles, including Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University. Prior experience includes leading strategic initiatives at MITRE, advising on operational warfare and joint force command, and serving as a Senior Analyst at both the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the US Navy. Seip holds a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and has completed the Seminar XXI National Security Program at MIT. An accomplished leader, Seip has contributed to significant military strategies and policies throughout a diverse career, emphasizing collaboration with allies and partners.
