John Costello

John Costello is a seasoned expert in cybersecurity and policy, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Cyber Solarium 2.0 and Principal at WestExec Advisors since early 2023. Costello holds the position of Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security and has previously worked as Chief of Staff in the Office of the National Cyber Director at The White House. In 2021, Costello also acted as Deputy Executive Director for the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission and has held various roles within the U.S. Department of Commerce and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, contributing significantly to national cybersecurity strategies and initiatives. Additionally, Costello has experience in academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland.
