Gypsy Moore

Gypsy Moore has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2023. Gypsy recently served as the General Counsel & Senior Vice President at the Center for American Progress since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate General Counsel at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from September 2022 to March 2023. Gypsy also held the position of Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of Education from May 2021 to September 2022. Gypsy previously worked as a Legal Counsel at the Center for American Progress and as a Civil Rights Law Fellow at NEA. Gypsy also gained experience as an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and served as a Summer Associate during their time there. Gypsy started their career as a Judicial Intern at Hon. Eduardo C. Robreno, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as a Campaigns Assistant at the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. Gypsy also worked as a Paralegal at Quinn Emanuel.

Gypsy Moore attended Midland School from 1999 to 2003 and obtained a High School Diploma. After that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Yale University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science between 2003 and 2007. Gypsy then went on to attend Cornell Law School from 2011 to 2014, completing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Regarding certifications, they became Bar Admitted through the New York State Unified Court System and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, though the specific dates are not provided.
