Jamie Perez has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. They are currently the Vice President of Digital Strategy at the Center for American Progress since April 2019. Prior to that, they served as the SVP of Branding and Digital Marketing at Urban Land Institute from December 2016 to April 2019. Jamie also held the position of Creative Director and Managing Partner at Threespot from July 2003 to November 2016. They were a Co-Director and Board Member at Narrow House from June 2006 to January 2013. Jamie started their career at Arms Control Association as an Associate Editor, handling graphic design, layout, copy editing, proofreading, and other editorial tasks for the organization's magazine. They also contributed to content development at various digital agencies such as AKQA and Magnet Interactive. Moreover, Jamie was a founding board member of The Chris Toll Memorial Writing Prize from April 2013 to December 2018.

Jamie Perez attended the University of Virginia from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
