Rafael Medina

Director Of Media Relations at Center for American Progress

Rafael Medina has a diverse range of work experience. Rafael began their career as an intern at the Los Angeles Superior Court, where they provided translation services and organized legal workshops. Rafael then worked as a research assistant at the UCLA Department of History, where they created presentations and operated audiovisual equipment. Rafael also interned at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., conducting research on state codes related to immigration law.

After their internships, Medina joined the Center for American Progress and held various roles, including Senior Media Coordinator, Senior Ethnic Media Associate, and Ethnic Media Intern. During this time, they transcribed and translated audio recordings, drafted Spanish tweets, and contributed to Ms. Magazine.

Medina then served as a Senior Communications Manager at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and Immigration Hub, where they managed communication operations. Rafael is currently the Director of Media Relations at the Center for American Progress. Medina's work experience showcases their strong background in media relations, communication management, research, and translation.
