Casey Umstead

Casey Umstead is a qualified scientist with experience in virology and process development, currently serving as a Scientist at SK pharmteco since November 2022. Previously, Casey worked as a Process Development Associate at PhaseBio Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included running SDS-PAGE and Western Blot, conducting bioreactor studies, and developing GMP manufacturing processes. Earlier experiences include a sales role at Gnosko Bio, and representing Team USA as a professional athlete in field hockey. Casey has also held coaching positions and internships, focusing on pharmacokinetic assays and protein characterization. Educational qualifications consist of an MBA in Health Services Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Connecticut.
