Associate Director Viral Vector Manufacturing at Center for Breakthrough Medicines

Jesús Guardia has extensive experience in the biologics manufacturing industry. Jesús is currently working as an Associate Director of Viral Vector Manufacturing at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Sanofi Pasteur, starting as an Associate and eventually becoming an Industrial Operations Manager. In these positions, they managed production and personnel in antigen platform, viral, and bacterial departments, overseeing processes for vaccines such as Influenza and Menactra/MenQuadfiTM. Jesús'sresponsibilities also included scheduling, supervision, and support for GMP audits. Jesús Guardia has been in the industry since 2003 and has a strong background in process management and manufacturing operations.

Jesús Guardia has a diverse education history. In 1999, they attended Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal for one year where they studied Education, with a focus on Biology and Chemistry. Jesús then pursued their interests further in 2000 by attending CUNY- La Guardia CC for two years, studying Accounting and Computer Science. In 2004, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Business and Technology- Applied Quality and Standards from Northampton Community College, where they studied for four years. In 2006, they continued their education at Northampton Community College with a Specialized Degree in Biotechnology, graduating in 2008. Afterward, in 2009, Jesús enrolled at Misericordia University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2012. Lastly, from 2013 to 2016, Jesús went to Wilkes University to acquire a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
