Stephanie Wormington has a diverse work experience history. Stephanie started their career as a Chemistry Laboratory Intern at Tesoro in 2004. Stephanie then worked as a Training Conference Intern at Key Issues in 2008. Stephanie later became a Research Intern at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University in 2010. Stephanie also served as a Lab Manager at both the Children's Motivation Lab-Reed College and the Adolescent Health Research Project-Reed College during the same time period.

In 2012, Stephanie joined Duke University, where they held multiple teaching and advisory roles. Stephanie served as a Graduation with Distinction Advisor from 2012 to 2014, an Instructor of Record for Research Methods in Psychological Science in 2013, and a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Statistical Methods in Psychology and Child Observation (Research Methods) in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Stephanie then pursued their doctoral degree at Michigan State University from 2014 to 2016, where they worked as a Doctoral Candidate. Following that, they joined the University of Virginia as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2016 to 2017 and subsequently became an Assistant Professor from 2017 to 2019.

Stephanie'smost recent experience is with the Center for Creative Leadership, where they initially served as a Manager of Global Strategic Research and Senior Research Scientist from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Stephanie holds the position of Director of Global Strategic Research at the same organization, starting in March 2022.

Stephanie Wormington earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Reed College in 2010. Stephanie then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Developmental Psychology at Duke University from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University between 2014 and 2016.
