Stephen Sorkin began their work experience in 1990 as a Commercial Real Estate Agent at Grubb & Ellis. Stephen then worked as a Consultant at Ernst & Young from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, they founded Sorco Enterprises LLC, a venture marketing firm, where they successfully commercialized multiple ideas and products. In 1994, they founded Bodyglide and served as the Founder and CEO, leading the company to become the leading skin care product for athletes globally. From 1997 to 2003, Sorkin co-founded Decision Dynamics SA, a company focused on behavioral science and leadership development, where they achieved numerous awards and partnerships with Korn Ferry International. In 2010, they became the Managing Partner at @Stake Performance, a specialized coaching and consulting business, providing customized solutions for individual, team, and organizational performance. In 2014, they joined the Center for Creative Leadership as an Executive Coach, Facilitator, and Coaching Community Lead for California, offering organizational development services and executive coaching.
Stephen Sorkin obtained an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, and Leadership from USC Marshall School of Business in 1993-1995. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Economics and Sociology from UC Santa Barbara in 1985-1990. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications, including the Hogan Assessment from Hogan Assessment Systems in 2022 and ISPI from Idea Connection Systems in 2017. Stephen has also completed various assessments and programs offered by institutions such as the Center for Creative Leadership, CPP Inc., Discovery Learning Inc., The Myers-Briggs Company, Reina Trust Building Consultancy, and the Center for Applied Cognitive Studies (CentACS).
