Evan Riddick

Implementation Strategist at Center for Policing Equity

Evan Riddick is an Implementation Strategist at the Center for Policing Equity (CPE). He joined CPE in November 2021. Prior to joining CPE, Evan served as a Police Officer for the Philadelphia Police Department. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Disproportionate Minority Contact Group which looks into the overrepresentation of young people of color with the Criminal Legal System. He also dedicates his time as a part-time Lecturer at Rutgers University, Center for Law and Justice.

Over the last ten years, Evan has been given the honor and experience to lead and speak to a wide array of audiences on criminology, criminal justice reform, community engagement and policy. He has experience in police oversight, youth diversion, law enforcement, and public safety. As a public speaker and advocate he has collaborated with organizations such as the Task Force on 21st Century Policing, Coalition for Juvenile Justice, National Policing Institute, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police in efforts to advance reimagining of public safety.

Evan holds a Master’s degree in Global Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Crime, Law, and Justice from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He believes in people sharing their experiences for change and knows the importance of centering the community in conversations because the people closest to the issues are the ones with the solutions.
