Tralonda Triplett

Public Health Director, COMPSTAT for Justice at Center for Policing Equity

Dr. Tralonda Triplett joins the Center for Policing Equity (CPE) as Director of Public Health for COMPSTAT for Justice (C4J). Following a lengthy career as a public health practitioner, Dr. Triplett leads CPE’s efforts to promote comprehensive wellness — not just the absence of disease — by fostering public safety and law enforcement equitably in diverse populations across the lifespan and the nation.

“Heal the people, heal the world” is Dr. Triplett’s signature approach to addressing individual, sociocultural, and environmental health risks and serves as a strong foundation to promoting lifelong comprehensive wellness for all populations. Dr. Triplett continues to encourage education, leadership, and advocacy to further community mobilization toward healthy outcomes and positive quality of life. Her warm and congenial personality and imaginative approaches have allowed for honesty in her work toward social justice, health equity, and comprehensive wellness as priorities, not luxuries.

Dr. Triplett completed undergraduate degrees in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University, and in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. She is honored as a University of Michigan Bridges to the Doctorate Fellow, a McKnight Doctoral Fellow, and a Distinguished Alumna of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, where she earned her Master of Public Health and Doctorate of Epidemiology with Specialty in Public Health Ethics.
