Analilia Mejia serves as Co Director at the Center for Popular Democracy since January 2022, focusing on advancing a pro-worker, pro-immigrant, and justice agenda in collaboration with various organizations. Previously, Analilia held the position of Deputy Director at the U.S. Department of Labor's Women’s Bureau from February to November 2021, where efforts were focused on promoting the welfare and working conditions of wage-earning women. In 2020, Analilia was a Senior Advisor and Political Director for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and played a key role in the Biden-Sanders Unity Taskforce. Additionally, Analilia was the Political Director for Bernie Sanders For President during the 2020 campaign, and served as New Jersey Executive Director for the Working Families Party from 2014 to 2019, leading initiatives such as the Fight for $15 and Voting Rights reform. Earlier roles include positions at SEIU Local 32BJ, UNITE HERE, and various political campaigns. Analilia Mejia earned dual degrees in Labor Relations and Public Policy from Rutgers University.
