Kelia Veiga

Community School Director, New Millennium Bronx Academy of the Arts, New York City at Center for Supportive Schools

Kelia Veiga is a Community School Director working with New Millennium Bronx Academy of the Arts (NMBAA) in New York City. As a Community School Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Kelia developed her passion for educational equity as a Teach for America Chicago-NWI Corps member and working with both KIPP Chicago and KIPP Metro Atlanta as an educator. Most recently, she worked with KIPP Metro Atlanta as a founding member of their first-ever turnaround effort. Kelia holds a master’s degree in education from Erikson Institute and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgia State University.
