Ilene Stein

Ilene Stein currently serves as the Vice President for Government Affairs at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities since October 2022. Prior to this role, Ilene Stein held various positions at SEIU from June 2012 to October 2022, including Deputy Legislative Director, Assistant Legislative Director, and Associate Health Policy Director. Earlier career experience includes serving as Federal Policy Director and Policy Counsel at the Medicare Rights Center between May 2010 and June 2012, and from September 2008 to March 2010, respectively. Additionally, Ilene Stein worked as an Associate at the Dewey Square Group from 2003 to 2005 and as a Correspondence Assistant in the Office of Senator Barbara Boxer from 2002 to 2003. Ilene Stein obtained a law degree in Legislative and Regulatory Development from Brooklyn Law School, graduating in 2008.
