Brad Aitken has had a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Brad started their career as an Accountant at KPMG in 1990 and subsequently worked as a Taxation Officer at the South African Revenue Service. Brad then transitioned to Irvin & Johnson Ltd, where they held multiple positions including Accountant and Administration & Financial Manager. In 2000, they joined Crew Development Corporation as an Accountant before moving on to Syscon Justice Systems in 2001. At Syscon, Brad served in different roles such as Financial Product Manager, Project Manager, and Director of the Project Management Office. In 2009, Brad started their own consulting company, Brad Aitken Consulting, where they served as the Managing Director. In 2011, they joined Central 1 Credit Union and held various positions, including Associate Vice President - Head of Group Clearer Operations, Director of Strategy, Planning & Project Management, and Manager of Planning & Process. Throughout their career, Brad has gained significant experience in financial services, project management, strategy, and planning.

Brad Aitken has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Brad also has a certification as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) and has completed courses in Business Administration and Management, General from the Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA).
