Sevak Mikayelyan PhD, CEFIP has extensive work experience in the field of financial consumer protection and market conduct regulation. Sevak has held various roles at the Central Bank of Armenia, including Deputy Head of Consumer Rights Protection and Financial Education Center, Lecturer at the Training Center, Acting Head of Consumer Rights Protection and Financial Education Center, and Coordinator of Market Conduct Regulation and Supervision. In these roles, their responsibilities included designing regulatory and supervisory policies, supervising financial institutions' market conduct, engaging with stakeholders, and managing outsourced projects. Sevak also has experience as an Analyst and Acting Head in the Consumer Protection and Market Conduct Division. Additionally, Sevak Mikayelyan has worked as a Lecturer at the Armenian State University of Economics and as a Visiting Lecturer at the Financial-Banking College. Sevak began their career as a Specialist at the Financial System Development Division of the Central Bank of Armenia.

Sevak Mikayelyan, PhD, CEFIP, has pursued a comprehensive education in the field of economics. Sevak began their academic journey at Yerevan State University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Economics from 2001 to 2007. Eager to further expand their knowledge and expertise, Sevak Mikayelyan went on to pursue a PhD in Economics at the same institution from 2007 to 2010.

Hoping to explore additional aspects of public policy and administration, Sevak Mikayelyan continued their education at The Fletcher School at Tufts University. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate in Public Policy and Public Administration, further strengthening their understanding of these areas.

In 2021, Sevak Mikayelyan took their educational journey to a new level by enrolling in the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Although the specific degree and field of study obtained during this period is undisclosed, it showcases their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
