Alia Tantawi is the current Assistant Sub Governor Banking Supervision Unit, Onsite Sector at Central Bank of Egypt. Alia has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Alia started their career as a programmer at IBM and then moved to Arthur Andersen where they became the DOT. After Andersen, they joined Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager - Technology & Security Risk Services. Alia has been with The Central Bank of Egypt since 2010 and is currently the Head of IT Supervision.

Alia Tantawi completed their undergraduate degree in computer science at The American University in Cairo. Alia then went on to complete their schooling at The International School of Choueifat.
