Haukur C. Benediktsson

Haukur C. Benediktsson is currently the Director of Financial Stability at the Central Bank of Iceland since December 2019. Haukur C. also has experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of Iceland since January 1999. In addition, they have served as Chairman of the Board of Directors in various companies such as Blafell Immobilen GmbH, Blanda Immobilen GmbH, Esja Immobilen GmbH, Skalafell Immobilen GmbH, Spron Investment GmbH, Svarta Immobilen GmbH, and Kurfo-Investment GmbH since February 2018. Haukur was also a Winding-up Board Member at F fasteignafélag ehf. from September 2019 to January 2023, and Chairman of the Board of Directors from March 2017 to August 2019.

Haukur C. Benediktsson obtained a Certificate in Brokerage from the Ministry of Economic Affairs - Iceland in 2007-2008. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc in Finance and Economics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1997-1998. Haukur C. completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Iceland, earning a BSc in Economics from 1993 to 1996.
