Cian Connaughton

Cian Connaughton is an experienced professional in parliamentary affairs, stakeholder engagement, and communications, currently serving as the Parliamentary Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement Manager at the Central Bank of Ireland since June 2021. Cian also contributes as a mentor at University College Dublin and has held the role of Special Advisor to Cabinet Minister Josepha Madigan in the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht from March 2018 to July 2020. Previous leadership positions include Director and President/Chairperson at the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and Senior Client Director at MKC Communications Ireland. Cian's academic credentials include a Chartered Director programme from the Institute of Directors, an MA in European Studies, and a BA in International Politics & Sociology from University College Dublin, along with an Erasmus Programme experience at Université de Bordeaux.
