Rachel Ward

Rachel Ward has extensive experience in financial services, currently serving in the Consumer Protection Directorate at the Central Bank of Ireland since December 2020, focusing on investment firms and banking and lending supervision. Prior to this role, Rachel worked at the Financial Conduct Authority as a Benchmark Supervisor from February 2017 to December 2020, and had a secondment at ASIC in January 2019 as a Markets Infrastructure Associate. From August 2010 to January 2017, Rachel was a Manager at Deloitte UK, providing advisory services to financial services clients, and also held the position of Assistant Auditor at UBS between 2014 and 2015, working on IOSCO Financial Benchmarks. Rachel began their career as an Actuarial Assistant at New Ireland Assurance from June 2008 to August 2010. Rachel holds an ACA from Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Bachelor of Actuarial and Financial Studies specializing in Actuarial Science from University College Dublin.
