Karen Tumlinson

Karen Tumlinson currently serves as the Vice President of Finance and Administration/Treasurer at Central College since May 2022. Previous roles include the Division Director for Digital Strategy and Innovation Budget/Ops (Division CFO) at the University of North Texas from April 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities involved budget creation and fiscal controls assessment. As a consultant and Acting CFO at St John's Military School in late 2018, an audit and financial corrections were conducted. Tumlinson also held the position of Vice President of Finance and Operations/CFO at Kansas Wesleyan University and various finance-related roles at the University of Arizona, The University of Kansas, and Oklahoma State University. Educational background includes advanced degrees in Business and Accounting from the University of North Texas, Doane University, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Notable accomplishments involve leading significant financial initiatives, implementing new budgeting systems, and enhancing fiscal management across multiple institutions.
