Preethi Vergis is an experienced professional with a strong background in education, policy, and community development. Currently serving as the Manager of Policy and Capability Building at the Centre for Multicultural Youth since November 2022, Preethi has also held leadership roles as Managing Consultant and Chief Operating Officer at Changemakers Collective and Co-Chief Executive Officer at Shoshama Institute for Collective Wellbeing. With a focus on empowering migrant, refugee, and diaspora communities, Preethi's expertise encompasses capacity building and educational programs. Previous positions include Manager of Learning and Sector Development at Consumer Action Law Centre, Independent Consultant in education and international community development, Education Support Coordinator at Ardoch Youth Foundation, and Deputy Director at One Thousand Villages. Preethi holds a Master's in Education and a dual Bachelor's in Laws and Arts from the University of Melbourne, alongside a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Teacher Certification from Moreland University.
