Moez Hanin is a distinguished researcher and academic with extensive experience in biotechnology and plant physiology, currently serving as the Head of the Laboratory of Functional Genomics & Plant Physiology at the Institute of Biotechnology of Sfax since January 2017. Hanin's research focuses on functional genomics related to drought and salt tolerance in wheat and the mechanisms of plant responses to environmental stresses. As a Professor and Project Manager at the Institute since 2003, Hanin has lectured on molecular biology and biotechnology, supervised numerous graduate students, and managed various projects, including a bilateral Tunisian-French initiative on abiotic stress in plants. Previously, Hanin contributed to scientific writing and research at the Friedrich Miescher Institute and coordinated business administration efforts at adhoc ISL. With a PhD in Biology from the University of Geneva and postdoctoral training at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Hanin has authored over 30 publications and actively engages in educational program development.
