A. Miguel Piecho-Santos

A. Miguel Piecho-Santos is a distinguished professional in marine sciences with extensive experience in various prestigious organizations. Since December 2000, A. Miguel Piecho-Santos has served as a Senior Scientist at IPMA-Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera and has held the position of Senior Researcher at the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) since January 2014. In June 2022, A. Miguel Piecho-Santos was appointed President of APOCEAN - Portuguese Oceanographic Society. A. Miguel Piecho-Santos holds a DSc in Marine Sciences from Universidade do Algarve (2020-2021), a PhD in Geophysical Sciences-Oceanography from the University of Lisbon (1990-1995), and a Licenciatura in Biology from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (1981-1987).
