Claudia Soares is a dedicated researcher and environmental communicator with extensive experience in marine biology and fisheries sciences. Currently a PhD student at Universidade do Algarve, Claudia is investigating the influence of bottom-up factors on the vital rates of larval anchovy and sardine, employing a modeling approach to assess their recruitment success. Previous roles include Communication and Awareness Coordinator and Presidente da Mesa da Assembleia Geral at Sciaena, as well as a team member in the Project VITAL, focused on developing models of larval survival parameters. Claudia's professional background also encompasses event organization for Beneath the Waves Film Festival Portugal and client support at EDP, alongside scientific research technician experience at FCT, UNL, and internships at Instituto Português de Malacologia and IPM - Centro de Ciência Viva. Claudia holds multiple degrees from Universidade do Algarve, including a PhD in Fisheries Sciences and Technologies, a Master’s in Digital Marketing, and a Master of Science in Marine Biology.
