Alex Chatkewitz

Alex Chatkewitz has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Alex is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Controller at Centric Brands, where they lead a team of 65 finance professionals and is responsible for automating processes and supporting expansion initiatives.

Prior to joining Centric Brands, Alex worked at JetBlue Airways as the Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer. In this role, they managed a team of 100 finance staff and oversaw accounting, risk management, shared services, and tax areas. Alex also supported strategic initiatives across the company.

Before JetBlue Airways, Alex held the position of VP & Controller - Financial Reporting & Accounting Research at Philip Morris International. Alex played a key role in establishing reporting and stock administration functions for the newly spun-off corporation and supervised a team of 30 professionals across multiple locations. Alex also handled budgeting, forecasting, and advised on accounting implications of business arrangements.

Alex started their career at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. as the Director of Financial Reporting. Alex directed a team responsible for internal and external reporting, accounting research, and adoption of new accounting pronouncements. Alex also supported the integration of accounting functions after the acquisition of Johnson & Higgins.

Throughout their career, Alex has gained significant transactional experience, including the acquisition of Nabisco, IPO and spinoff of Kraft Foods, and the spinoff of Philip Morris International.
