Weilin Jia has worked as an Accountant at Centricity Research since May 2021. Prior to that, from September 2020 to May 2021, they served as a Tutor at Saint Mary's University. In 2015, Weilin Jia worked as an Accounting Assistant, where they developed skills in GAAP and statutory reporting, conducted account reconciliation, and provided budgeting analysis suggestions to increase company profits. They also volunteered in supporting education for a brief period in 2013.

Weilin Jia began their education in 2015 at Dalhousie University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Accounting. They also attended the H&R Block Tax Academy in 2016-2017, obtaining a certification as a Tax professional from H&R Block.

In 2019, Weilin Jia continued their education by enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program at Dalhousie University, where they further specialized in Accounting. During this time, they also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting and Finance at Saint Mary's University, completing it in 2020.

Continuing their academic journey, Weilin Jia enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2019, pursuing a certification in Accounting, which they will complete in 2024.
