John Owens

John Owens has a diverse work experience. John currently works as a Marketing Executive at Centripetal since February 2023. Prior to this, they were a Teaching Assistant/Researcher at the University of Galway from September 2021 to the present. Within the same company, they also held the position of Marketing Executive from January 2021 to September 2021. Before joining the University of Galway, John was a Digital Marketing Executive at Tr3Dent from September 2020 to January 2021. John started their career as an Office Administrator at Cosmic Bowl Leisure Centre and worked there from June 2016 to September 2020. Additionally, they gained experience as an International Marketing Intern at Philips from January 2019 to September 2019.

John Owens completed their Bachelor of Business Studies with a major in Marketing and a minor in Law at the University of Limerick between 2016 and 2020. John then pursued an MSc in Marketing Practice, earning a first-class degree at the University of Galway from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marketing from the University of Galway, which they expect to complete in 2025. In addition to their academic achievements, John has obtained several certifications, including the Google Ads Search Certification from Google Ads in March 2021, the Content Marketing Certification, Inbound Marketing Certification, and Social Media Marketing Certification from HubSpot in December 2020.
