Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for managing
junior resources on the Finance Team and overseeing the financial and accounting process, including the
completion of all internal and external financial reports, the coordination of the year-end audit process,
and the development of new financial reports in the accounting system, ensuring constant adherence to
internal financial controls and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for the successful administration of all financial
reporting related resources, contracts, tools and supplies to ensure all Centurion Asset Management Inc. | Centurion Property Associates Inc. real property assets are effectively and efficiently maintained to
established standards and within established budgets.

Responsibilities

Relationship Development
Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure proactive timely
resolution of all co-worker inquiries.

Ongoing Operations
Manage a Team of Financial Reporting Staff, ensuring tasks are being completed in a timely manner and
to established standards. Establish Team goals and prepare performance evaluations. Lead and direct
individual and Team meetings. Provide Staff training and Mentoring on accounting standards relevant to
Real Estate Financial Statements under IFRS. Perform continuous assessments of the close process.
Adjust processes to reduce the timing to close the financial period. Manage the preparation and review
process for the creation of financial statements. Assist the Director of Finance with the coordination of
the interim and annual audits. Develop, implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with
internal control requirements. Assist with the preparation and presentation of materials for the Board of
Trustees and Executive Committee meetings.

  • Requirements

  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery;

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Accounting;

  • A qualifying CA designation is required;

  • 3 to 5 years’ of audit advisory, external reporting and/or corporate finance experience

  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS is required;

  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills;

  • Ability to foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships;

  • Real Estate industry experience is an asset; and

  • Experience with Yardi property management systems an asset.
