David Messenger

David Messenger has been the Chief Financial Officer at Century Communities since May 2013.

Previously, David was a consultant from June 2012 to May 2013, advising public and private companies on SEC filings, earnings releases, board communications, accounting and tax matters, finance/accounting department structures, shared service centers, and multiple transaction process improvements.

Before that, David was the CFO at UDR from August 2002 to May 2012, where they were responsible for all financial related activities of the REIT and subsidiaries. David was also a member of the Investment Committee for all capital transactions, and raised over $6 billion of debt and equity capital. At UDR, David also oversaw IR, Risk, Tax, Accounting and FP&A.

David Messenger has a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa and a MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
