Lavanya Peddada

Lavanya Peddada, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and pharmaceutical development. Lavanya is currently serving as the Director of Drug Product Development at Century Therapeutics, Inc since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Drug Product Development at the same company from April 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Century Therapeutics, Inc, Lavanya worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson for several years. Lavanya held the role of Senior Scientist from June 2019 to April 2021, Research Scientist at Centyrex from January 2014 to June 2019, and Scientist II at Janssen Research and Development, Pharmaceutical companies of Johnson and Johnson from August 2012 to December 2013.

Lavanya's career began at Rutgers University, where they served as a Graduate Research Fellow in Biomedical Engineering from 2005 to 2011. Lavanya also gained experience as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Bioengineering & Nanotechnology in 2008.

In addition, they have worked as a Research Intern at Bristol-Myers Squibb in June-August 2004.

Lavanya Peddada, Ph.D. completed their Bachelors in Chemical Engineering at the University of Virginia from 2001 to 2005. Lavanya then pursued their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University from 2005 to 2011.
