Wanping Zhao

Wanping (Kasey) Zhao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program and project management within the life sciences and diagnostic industries. Currently serving as a Staff Program Manager at Cepheid since May 2020, Wanping leads projects focused on product lifecycle management, successfully addressing material discontinuity issues and qualifying new components to enhance supply chain resilience. Previously, roles included Sr. Project Engineer, where initiatives led to significant VAVE savings and business continuity improvements, and Scientist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, managing the launch of diagnostic products while optimizing manufacturing processes. Educated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, Wanping also has a background in technical roles at Bio-Rad Laboratories and Bruker Daltonics, contributing to product testing and development.
