Rebecca Farkas serves as the Director of R&D Innovations and Head of Technology at CEPI since January 2022. Previously, Rebecca held the position of Director of External R&D and Scientific Collaborations at GSK Vaccines from April 2017 to January 2022, where opportunities for R&D collaborations were identified with universities and research institutions across the U.S. Prior to GSK, Rebecca was the Associate Director of Partnering & Strategy at MedImmune, leading strategic collaborations on the east coast. Additionally, at the National Institutes of Health from 2002 to February 2015, Rebecca created and directed a publicly funded drug accelerator and served in various roles, including Program Director and Science Policy Analyst. Rebecca's educational background includes a PhD in Developmental Biology from Stanford University and a BA in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University.
