Alka Banerjee

Alka Banerjee has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Alka currently holds the position of Global Head of Product, Market Data at CEPRES since May 2022. Previously, they worked at S&P Dow Jones Indices for a significant period, starting in January 2000. Their roles at SPDJI included Managing Director and CEO of Asia Index Pvt Ltd, where they oversaw product management for equities, fixed income, commodities, and multi-asset classes. Alka also served as Managing Director of Equity Indices Product Management, Vice President of Global Equity and Strategy Indices, and Director. From 2013 to 2019, Alka Banerjee held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Asia Index Pvt Ltd. Before that, they worked at BNY Mellon as a Manager from December 1998 to January 2000, and at State Bank of India as a Manager from December 1984 to December 1994.

Alka Banerjee completed their M A in Economics from Lucknow University, India. Alka then pursued an MBA from Pace University in New York, graduating in 1997.
