Ildefonso E. Sánchez Romo has extensive experience in the energy trading industry. Ildefonso E. began their career at ICEX as a Foreign Trade Analyst, where they provided economic analysis and assistance to Spanish companies. Ildefonso E. then joined Repsol, where they held various roles including Trading Control Manager, Trading Manager for the Americas, LPG, Naphtha & Petrochemical Products Trading Director, and Director of Market Intelligence, Strategy and Business Development. During their time at Repsol, they were responsible for improving productivity, driving business growth, and implementing new risk management systems. Ildefonso E. is currently working at CEPSA as the Origination & Strategy Director / Renewable Products Director, where they are tasked with drawing and executing a growth strategy for CEPSA Trading and building a trading business around Low Carbon Products.

Ildefonso E. Sánchez Romo obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1998-1999. Ildefonso E. also earned a Master's Degree in Law from Universidad de Salamanca from 1993-2001 and a Master's Degree in Economics from the same university from 1991-1995. In 2007-2008, they completed the Integrated Management Program (PIM) in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including International Oil Trading and Energy Risk Management.
