Olarizu Olabarrieta Zarain has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. In 2000, Olarizu started as a Marketing Trainee at DSM Engineering Plastics in the Netherlands. This was followed by a Marketing Trainee role at Kimberly-Clark in 2001, where they focused on designing and tracking promotions and incentives for the sales force and distributors.

In 2003, Olarizu joined BD as a Marketing Technician. After a year, they moved to Motorola as the Marketing España BCS. This role lasted from 2004 to 2008.

From 2009 to 2015, Olarizu worked at hibu (Páginas Amarillas) as a Digital Marketing Manager and later as an Online Projects Manager. They were responsible for defining and implementing digital strategies, managing campaigns, and optimizing digital campaigns for optimal ROI. They also played a key role in the introduction and management of hibu's Global e-commerce Customers Portal in Spain.

In 2016, Olarizu joined ATREVIA as a Senior Communication Strategist. They led and coordinated strategic cross-functional projects, acted as the Project Director for PageGroup, and worked as a Digital Strategist for Lilly. They also handled social media activities for the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

In 2017, Olarizu became the Communications and Marketing Senior Manager at Viesgo, a position they held until 2018.

From 2018 to 2022, Olarizu worked at Repsol as the Head of Marketing. In this role, they developed and executed annual marketing plans, promoted strategic campaigns to support business objectives, and measured the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

Currently, Olarizu is the Head of Marketing - New Mobility & Professional at Cepsa, a role they started in 2022.

Olarizu Olabarrieta Zarain completed a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in the years 1997 to 2001. Later, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in Marketing Management at ESIC Business & Marketing School. In 2008-2009, Olarizu attended IE Business School, where they acquired knowledge and skills in Digital Marketing. Additionally, in 2009, they completed a program in Virtual Community Management at IE Business School.
