Sergio Martins

Sergio Martins has extensive work experience in the legal field, particularly in the energy and construction sectors. Sergio has held various roles in different companies, starting with their position as a Consultant at Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía (CEA) in 2008. Sergio then worked as a Legal Advisor at Óscar Bártolo – Law Office in 2007 and as a Legal Advisor at Movimiento por la Paz from 2006 to 2007.

In 2008, Sergio joined Abengoa as an In-House Lawyer, where they managed major construction projects, focusing on thermo solar plants, cogeneration projects, and desalination plants across multiple jurisdictions. Sergio also worked for Abengoa's subsidiary, Teyma, where they managed several joint ventures for thermo solar plant projects. Additionally, Sergio served as General Counsel at Zeroemissions Do Brasil LTDA, where they drafted and registered corporate documents.

In 2016, Sergio started working at Gamma Solutions & Energy as an In-House Counsel, where they managed legal aspects of construction projects, specifically in the pv solar plants and IT sectors. Sergio also drafted and negotiated various commercial contracts and agreements for the company.

From 2017 onwards, Sergio joined Cepsa as Head of Legal for Procurement, Technical Services, and Digital Transformation. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of procurement and digital transformation initiatives. Sergio also handles legal management of upstream Oil & Gas projects in various global jurisdictions.
