VP Contracts And Procurement (e&p Business Unit) (supply Chain) at Cepsa

Vicente Maestre Derqui has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Vicente started their career at Repsol in 1995, where they held various roles such as Automation Engineer and Project Engineer, gaining experience in project management, design, installation, and commissioning of control systems. Vicente then moved on to become an Advanced Automation Engineer, supervising design and system integration for petrochemical, gas, and LNG industries.

In 2001, Vicente became a Senior Project Engineer at Atlantic LNG, where they were responsible for managing contract packages for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning projects. Vicente later transitioned to the role of Project Manager, leading the development and management of a contract package for an upgrade project.

In 2002, Vicente joined Repsol's e-Procurement team as an e-Procurement Content Manager, where they managed and led the Material and Services Classification and Cataloguing group. Vicente then took on the role of Cost Control and Planning Manager, overseeing budget, schedule integration, and organizational activities for an EPC project.

From 2010 to 2013, Vicente held senior positions at Repsol's LNG Business Unit, including LNG Assets Valuation Manager and Procurement and Contracts Senior Manager. In these roles, they led the development and implementation of procurement strategies, managed supplier relationships, and implemented procurement policies.

Since 2014, Vicente has been working at Cepsa, initially as the Suppliers Strategic Alliances Senior Manager, where they developed and executed partner strategies within the suppliers, Mubadala partners, and other Oil & Gas Operators. Vicente then moved on to become the VP Contracts and Procurement (E&P Business Unit) (Supply Chain), leading the transformation of the procurement area within Cepsa's Exploration and Production business unit.

Throughout their career, Vicente has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and expertise in procurement and supply chain management. Vicente'swork has resulted in significant cost savings and improvements in procurement processes.

Vicente Maestre Derqui completed an Executive MBA from IESE Business School in the years 2010 to 2012, with a focus on Business Administration. Prior to that, they obtained a M.Sc. in Technology and Industrial Management from the Escuela de Organización Industrial between 1994 and 1995. Vicente also holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (U.N.E.D.), which they earned from 1986 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Vicente has obtained several certifications related to their field, including Dimensionamiento de instalaciones fotovoltaicas en la modalidad de autoconsumo and Fundamentals of Offshore Systems Design and Construction.
