Robin Panwala

Robin Panwala has over 15 years of work experience in the technology industry. Currently, as the Director and India Head at Cequence Security since August 2021, Robin launched and is overseeing Cequence India operations, including product development, engineering, threat research, and customer success functions. They are responsible for shaping the company's India charter, driving operational excellence, recruitment, growth, and building a strong company culture.

Prior to this, Robin worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Solutions Architect, collaborating with early-stage startups in various sectors such as cybersecurity, AI & robotics, quantum computing, cryptocurrency, and battery tech. They provided expert guidance to these startups in architecting secure and scalable applications on the AWS cloud.

Before AWS, Robin worked at Cequence Security as a Principal Solutions Architect, contributing to the SaaS product architecture and customer success strategy for the Cequence API Spartan and API Sentinel products. They collaborated closely with the C-Suite and reported directly to the Chief Product Officer and VP of Product.

Robin also held a Senior Solutions Architect position at Shape Security, which was later acquired by F5 Networks for $1B. They led the technical architecture for Shape's top clients in various sectors and reported to the VP of Customer Success.

Earlier in their career, Robin worked at Akamai Technologies as a Senior Solutions Architect, where they designed and deployed custom CDN solutions on the Akamai Edge platform. They also worked as a Senior Software Engineer, developing distributed software components for Akamai's object storage platform.

Additionally, Robin gained experience as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm Innovation Center, an Engineering Intern at NetApp, and as a Lead Systems Engineer at Morgan Stanley.

Robin started their career as a Summer Intern at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Robin Panwala earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Gujarat University between the years 2002 and 2006. Following this, Robin pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at North Carolina State University from 2008 to 2010. Recently, in 2017, Robin enrolled at the Product School to further their knowledge in Software Product Management.
