Mathew Wallace

MD, Cerberus Capital Management at Cerberus Capital Management

Mr. Wallace is a Managing Director on the Private Equity team and is responsible for leading investments in the industrial vertical. He focuses on all industrial subsectors with an emphasis on chemicals, packaging, industrial technology, industrial distribution, aerospace and defense, and capital goods manufacturing.

During his tenure, Mr. Wallace has led investments in Closure Systems International, a global manufacturer of bottle caps and closure solutions, Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, a provider of janitorial services, and PQ Performance Chemicals, a global producer of specialty chemicals used in a broad array of essential end uses. He also oversees the Firm’s investment in Cyanco, a producer and distributor of sodium cyanide.

Prior to joining Cerberus in 2018, Mr. Wallace worked in the Lower Middle Market Private Equity group at H.I.G. Capital from 2015 to 2018, the Leveraged Finance group of RBC Capital Markets from 2011 to 2014, and in the corporate finance group at the Hartford Financial Services Group from 2008 to 2011.

Mr. Wallace holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut’s School of Business, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University’s School of Business.
