Christophe Couvreur

Christophe Couvreur has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Christophe currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Business Operations at Cerence Inc. Before this, they served as the Senior Vice President & General Manager, Core Products at the same company. Prior to joining Cerence Inc., Christophe worked at Nuance Communications, where they held various positions including Vice-President Core Technologies & Hybrid Platforms and Vice-President & General Manager, TTS Business Line. Christophe has also worked at Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products as a Principal Research Engineer, and as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Christophe began their career as a Research Aspirant at F.R.S. - FNRS, conducting research in statistical signal processing and machine learning/pattern recognition applied to acoustic signals. Christophe also served as a Lieutenant in the Belgian Air Force.

Christophe Couvreur has an extensive education history. Christophe obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1995. Christophe also holds a Doctorate degree in Applied Science from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, they earned a DEA (MPhil) in Mathematics from the Université catholique de Louvain in 1996. Christophe furthered their education by completing an Executive MBA program at Vlerick Business School in 2012. Christophe'sinitial education began with an Ingénieur Civil (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, which they obtained from 1986 to 1991.
