Maria Laura Rios Gomez

Maria Laura Rios Gomez currently serves as the Materials R&D Team Manager at Ceres since June 2020, where responsibilities include leading materials research initiatives. Prior to this role, Maria Laura held the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from August 2018 to May 2020, focusing on the synthesis of complex molecular frameworks and structural determination using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Previous experience also includes a postdoctoral role at the UNAM Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, where research centered on the thermal expansion properties of transition metal hexacyanides. Academic contributions include teaching assistant roles at UNAM, alongside a visiting PhD position at the University of Oxford specializing in structural analysis of the synthesized materials. Maria Laura holds a BSc in Physics, an MS in Materials Science and Engineering, and a PhD in Material Science and Engineering, all from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
