Claude Barberis

Claude Barberis has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in various roles and companies. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Medicinal Chemistry at Cerevel Therapeutics since August 2022. Before that, they worked at Agios Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Director from January 2021 to June 2022. Prior to that, Claude spent a significant part of their career at Sanofi Genzyme, where they held multiple roles including Senior Principal Scientist, Lead Research Investigator, Lab Head-Principal Research investigator, Senior Research Investigator, and Research Investigator from 2004 to 2021. Following that, in 1995 to 1996, they attended Université de Sherbrooke, obtaining an M.Sc. in Organic Synthesis. Afterward, from 1996 to 1999, Claude Barberis pursued their Ph.D. at Université Laval, specializing in Organic Synthesis. Finally, from 1999 to 2002, they completed their Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Florida State University, focusing on Cancer Research. It is worth noting that in 1994, they had a period of military service at the 92 Regiment d'Infanterie de Montagne, although no specific degree or field of study is indicated during this time.
