Taavet Hinrikus

Taavet Hinrikus has an extensive work experience history. Taavet is currently the Co-Founder of Plural Platform, an investment platform focused on supporting tech startups in Europe. Taavet co-founded Certific in 2020, an undisclosed company. Hinrikus has been an active investor since 2017, partnering with a longtime friend to form Taavet + Sten. Prior to that, they held prominent positions at Wise (formerly TransferWise), including Chairman and co-founder from 2017 to 2021 and CEO and co-founder from 2010 to 2017. Hinrikus started their career at Skype in 2003, working as the Director of Strategy and being involved in various aspects of the company's growth. Before that, they worked as a Product Manager at Joltid in 2002 and as a Project Manager at Equitygate.com/Hanashi IFC from 2000 to 2001. Hinrikus began their professional journey as a Senior Engineer at Halo Interactive DDB from 1997 to 2000.

Taavet Hinrikus attended TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology from 1999 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. However, they dropped out before completing the program. Later on, in 2010, they attended INSEAD and obtained an MBA in General Management.
